Enola Holmes is back –  now with a detective agency of her own. Netflix has released a trailer of the sequel to the 2020 movie, scheduled to be released on November 4. The movie is set to bring more of Millie Bobby Brown to Stranger Things fans before the end of the year.

The original Enola Holmes movie introduced us to the youngest member of the Holmes family. Enola is a gifted detective who is insightful and observant, and if the new trailer did not emphasize it enough, a teenage girl.

Enola Holmes 2 Will Bring Us More of Brown and Cavill

Set in late 19th century England, the story is about Enola Holmes, the younger sister of the esteemed Sherlock Holmes. Henry Cavill reprises his role as Arthur Conan Doyle’s enigmatic detective in the sequel. In line with the setting of the movie, Enola struggles to cope with the social stigma associated with women, especially if she is looking to establish herself as a private investigator.

The trailer shows Enola getting a chance to put her skills to action when a young factory girl brings her a missing person case – her sister being missing for a week. It’s now up to Enola to solve the underlying mystery. The trailer also shows Henry Cavill’s Sherlock getting more screen time than the previous movie, with the Holmes sibling having their investigations converge at some point.

England, 1884 – a world on the brink of change. On the morning of her 16th birthday, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) wakes to find that her mother (Helena Bonham Carter) has disappeared, leaving behind an odd assortment of gifts but no apparent clue as to where she’s gone or why. After a free-spirited childhood, Enola suddenly finds herself under the care of her brothers Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft (Sam Claflin), both set on sending her away to a finishing school for “proper” young ladies. Refusing to follow their wishes, Enola escapes to search for her mother in London. But when her journey finds her entangled in a mystery surrounding a young runaway Lord (Louis Partridge), Enola becomes a super-sleuth in her own right, outwitting her famous brother as she unravels a conspiracy that threatens to set back the course of history. Based on the beloved book series by Nancy Springer, ENOLA HOLMES is a dynamic new mystery-adventure that introduces the world’s greatest detective to his fiercest competition yet: his teenage sister. The game is afoot.

Official Synopsis of Enola Holmes via Netflix

Milli Bobby Brown has returned to produce the movie besides bringing the chirpy, titular character to life, with Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag) back to direct the sequel. With Cavill playing a particularly hunky interpretation of Sherlock Holmes, the movie is just as star-studded. Absent from the trailer is Mycroft, the eldest Holmes sibling, played by Sam Claflin of the Hunger Games movies.

The first movie impressed both fans and critics alike, for its upbeat story with Brown leading the charge with her spontaneous and high-energy style. With November 4 just a few weeks away, hopes are set high for Enola Holmes 2.
