The first season of Spy x Family might be nearing its end, but it seems like we might not have to wait long to witness more of Anya Forger’s antics. 2023 is going to be a busy year for the show’s makers, as not only will we be getting the second season for the show, but alongside it a theatrical film with an original story. Well, talk about hype.

While the makers have not unveiled much about the movie, we know one thing – Tatsuya Endō, the creator of Spy x Family will be the one supervising the film. During the announcement, the makers unveiled that the film will also feature original character designs from the creator himself, so there sure is a lot to look forward to.

The manga has already compiled nearly 10 volumes, and there are plenty of the show’s iconic “missions” to be told. Part II of the first season is expected to animate up to the 7th volume of the manga, and with the story still far from ending, we expect the second season to consist of the same 25 episodes as its predecessor.

VIZ Manga describes the series as follows:

Master spy Twilight is the best at what he does when it comes to going undercover on dangerous missions in the name of a better world. But when he receives the ultimate impossible assignment—get married and have a kid—he may finally be in over his head!

Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!

The Spy x Family Film and second season were not the only major announcements at the Jump Festa ’23, however, as the event also confirmed the release window of the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen, now set to arrive in July 2023.
